Commercial Description:
Slim Chance ale combines the best attributes of a crisp, refreshing ale without the extra calories. Golden kilned malt and a touch of wheat create this smooth, satisfying ale that is not your typical light beer.

Pours clear golden into the glass with an initial head that diminishes to nothing, and sparse suds lace. The nose is of sweet corn and light malt. The flavors, very light, are of sour grains, hints at corn, and some biscuit malt. There is a grassy finish, with some residual biscuit dry-hopping. Unfortunately, all of these are underdone, as the mouthfeel is too seltzery and the body too thin. It’s ok to be a low-cal offering, but it’s only as good as what it is.

Bottle. Pours slightly hazy light gold with a one finger white head with not much lacing to speak. The nose is grain, malt and light floral hops. The taste is biscuits, grain, sweet grass and very faint hops in the finish. Lighter, slightly prickly mouthfeel. Not that good. Slim Chance I’ll be buying it again. Ba da bum!

Pint x2 on tap at a local bar. Pours a clear light golden color with little head. Aroma is very sweet, kind of sweet and hoppy. Flavor is kind of bitter with a little malty sweetness, but very subtle. Palate is kind of rough but not too unmanageable. Pair this beer up with a flavorful food for full effect. Nice summer bew.

Drank straight from the bottle for lack of a glass... Not bad, doesn’t taste too adjuncty, but it’s still a light beer. Aroma reminds of mild soapy water and the flavor is light with a hint of grain and biscuit.

Sampled at the 8th Annual Music City Brewer’s Festival. Dark yellow, white head. Aroma is sweet, corn cereal, little else. Taste is the same, pale malt, sweet musty corn, metal.

Golden color with a white head. Aroma and taste of wheat and hops with a hint of citrus and a mild trace of pine.

Pours gold with a white head. Smells of dry malt with a stray floral note. Tastes grassy and watery with some peppery splashes on the finish.
