Commercial Description:
Slim Chance ale combines the best attributes of a crisp, refreshing ale without the extra calories. Golden kilned malt and a touch of wheat create this smooth, satisfying ale that is not your typical light beer.

Pours clear gold with micro thin white head. The aroma is bit grainy with floral hops, a sense of esters and a touch of lemon. The taste consists of both a grainy malt and floral hop bite enhanced by carbonation. Soon after the water thin body becomes alarmingly apparent. By midway I get a sense of citrus and esters mixing with grain and floral hops as well as a note of sweet malts. Not something I’d try again. Just too thin, watered down and lacking.

Pleasant, sweet, lightly honey-fruity aroma. Bright, clear, specimen gold with a very fne-grained lacy head. Ho-hum label, bottle, packaging. Crisp, dry. Light tonic bitterness and acidity. Aftertaste had some issues, and it hung a little too long on the sides of the back of the tongue. Medium light body. Bunt single, hot weather beer.

Bottle… Clear yellow ale with a mid-sized, fluffy, white head. Great retention. Yeasty, lemony aroma with a whisper of pale grains. Light-bodied with lively carbonation. Well-balanced and very refreshing. Short, crisp, clean finish. This is a light beer that lives up to what it’s supposed to be – low calorie and thirst quenching – without being offensive, overly sweet or completely flavorless. Goes down nicely on a hot summer day.

Appearance: Quite clear, deep yellow body with a smallish, fine, but sustaining, white head. Smell: Mildly sweetish, meager malts with a lightly earthy, vaguely floral hop scent. It’s not exactly a stand out aroma. Taste: Light pale maltiness with an infinitesimally small amount of wheat grain. Subtly sweet overall. Earthy, lightly floral hop character with just enough hop bitterness to balance. Ill-defined maltiness in the later half with an encroaching wateriness. Finishes dry, clean, but a little on the weak side. Mouthfeel: Light-bodied. Medium carbonation. Drinkability: A light ale, indeed! Thankfully, no off flavors, and, it has kindly low ABV%, so there’s that. But, being so light, it’s hard not to the shout 1...2...3... CHUG!! Although, I’m left wondering who in the Production Development Dept. tasted their Blonde Ale and said "not light enough!!"

The aroma is dusty and malty with adjuncts, citrus hops, and a touch of grain husks, honey, and grass. The appearance is deep gold with a large foamy head. The flavor is like the aroma with some acidity and a bread like finish. The palate is average for the style. Overall an enjoyable beer but damaged by junk malt.

Near clear straw color with decent white head that fades to a ring quickly. Nose of corn and over ripe peaches. Flavor is astringent, with a bitter lemon cleanser finish. Boring and about on par with a bud.

Bottle... Poured pale orangeish-yellow with a white head. Pungent, rotten fruit and malt aroma. Palate was borderline unbearable and really stung the back of my mouth. All I tasted was squash and corn chips with this one and a sulfur like finish.
