Commercial Description:
Introducing Redhook Sunrye, a light, refreshing summer beer brewed with six barley malts, including a touch of organic rye. The opalescent golden color of Sunrye is a result of its unfiltered nature. Light and crisp, this brew was made for slaking summer thirsts.

light color with not much head. Smells of malt with adjunct (thought of corn first, but it’s made with rye...) Hops taste with little bitterness. Light mouthfeel, malt taste, and alcohol and warming afterwards. Slightly sweet then drying.

Bottle. Pours clear gold with a white head. Aroma has a nice hop/malt balance with caramel and floral notes. Sweet malt flavor with lemon and a touch of hops. Not bad.

Redhook Sunrye is a slightly hazy pale yellow ale with a thick, soft, bone white head. The head retention and lacing are excellent. There isn’t much aroma here-- possibly lemon, maybe lemon cleanser. It is quite thin, bubbly and a bit alkaline. It has a unique flavor. I’m getting fenugreek here. There are notes of rye and lemon. It’s lawnmower beer.

Light sweet mild grainy aroma. Golden colored brew with a fizzy head. Light sweet, just the smallest hint of rye. Finishes pretty clean. Just not a lot going on here. One might say uninteresting.

Decent. I am not a fan of rye beers but you can barely taste it in this one. Not much going on. Some wheat and citrus flavor. Lightly sweet. Pale lager taste.

Its an ok summer ale, light as it should be, but nothing really impressive. You can get a Yuengling for a lot less and get about the same effect.

Crushed after a bomber of Ruination. Guess what this tasted like. Just about nothing. I guess it’d taste good on a hot summer day, but so does anything cold. Not impressed.
