Commercial Description:
Introducing Redhook Sunrye, a light, refreshing summer beer brewed with six barley malts, including a touch of organic rye. The opalescent golden color of Sunrye is a result of its unfiltered nature. Light and crisp, this brew was made for slaking summer thirsts.

Pours cloudy gold with a white head that fizzled away quickly. Grassy, grainy aroma with a little lemon. Smells like a summer brew. Light flavor with lemon, grass, and hops. Not a bad taste but is similar to Fraoch Heather Ale and I didn’t like that either. Very light palate and would probably be refreshing for people who like this style

Pours gold with a modest white head, few lacings. Aroma is mild, some herbal notes Tatses like a rich macro. Loke a Bud with a bit of flavor. Must be the rye. Good barbrque beer.

The beer pours a light bright yellow hay color with a thin white head that doesn’t stay long. The nose is a light with a little note of grass. The taste is simple and strait forward like water, which is ironically the mouth feel I get. The finish is slightly metallic. I guess if I had to chose between this and a bud lite I would choose this but only with a gun to my head.

On tap at Union Jacks. Golden, creamy head. Aroma: Hardly any but I got a faint aroma of grass. Flavor: Wheat, grains with little rye backing.

It might be because I just had a burrito smothered in habanero chili sauce, but this beer tastes awfully bland. Smells like pennies. The (I assume) rye taste comes through, though not necessarily for the best. OK, but not great.

Pale yellow beer. A little toasty grain flavor but really watery, thin and unexciting. The sam adams light beer I had recently was more exciting than this bad boy.

Golden, bright yellow beer, 1 inch foamy head, that diminishes moderately quick. Clear body. Good bubbling and carbonation. Weird aroma, like plastic, or moldy grass or something. Flavor is definately rye, and other malts. Mouthfeel is a little thick for the color. The beer is heavy, and weighs you down for the summer.

A decent beer, but nothing exciting or anything id like to try again soon. it pours a dull gold colour with a prevalent sweet grass aroma. also sort of smells like bannanas. an easy to sip on summertime brew.
