Commercial Description:
Introducing Redhook Sunrye, a light, refreshing summer beer brewed with six barley malts, including a touch of organic rye. The opalescent golden color of Sunrye is a result of its unfiltered nature. Light and crisp, this brew was made for slaking summer thirsts.

Bottle. Pours clear gold with a fading white head. Aroma of honey, citrus, rye. Light body and carbonation. Sweet bready taste with some grass and a fairly crisp finish. The rye seems to contribute more to the aroma than the taste.

2008 Bottle - Pours tan with a small head...aroma is light and fruity, taste is bright - grain, very little bitterness, yeasty, fleeting in the mouth, good summer brew...

Pours from a 12 fl. oz bottle with alot code of 047408. The pour is golden-yellow with an off-white head that stays around for about half the session. The pour is very clear for a non-filtered. The aroma has an element of barley and a hint of corn. Medium mouth feel. But the aroma distracts from the taste a bit because it is always there. An adequate summer brew.

Bottle. Pours a clear golden color with a small white head that diminishes quickly to nothing. The aroma is rye bread, malt and floral. Decent lacing on the glass. The taste is a sweet citrus with a crisp finish. Easy to drink, a good blond ale from Redhook.

Not too shabby for what it is....a refreshing beer on a lawnmower day. Light to medium carbonation, light malt flavor, and faint hops bitterness.

Nothing too complex here. Hazy golden colored topped with a thin white head but left a pretty good amount of lace. A little fruity, somewhat sour taste to it. Neither characteristic is at all strong as the beer in general is a little bland. It is kind of refrshing and is a decent enough sun beer but essentially just an average beer.

Light golden yellow color with a moderate head. Aroma is of rye and slightly wheat-like. Taste is refreshing with a thin body. Rye and slightly bitter in the taste.

Bottled on 6/5/07. Poured bright golden with just a dusting of white head and lots of yeasties suspended in there. The aroma picked up honey, straw, and faint hints of vegetal notes.. not bad for what it is, but there are better styles out there. The flavor found semi-sweet bready, straw, and honey notes at the core, with just a hint of rye spicage.. dry back-end with light straw bitterness.. refreshing. Light-bodied with solid balance and a good overall feel to it.
