Aroma is sweet and sour, with emphasis on the sour - slightly hay/grassy. Starts crisp, quickly overwhelmed with a sickly sweet/sour that lingers. Not much in the way of hops. This beer reminds me of Grain Belt. eve (240), Iowa City, Iowa, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Aug 24, 2006 Hazy gold with lots of carbonation but a quickly dissipating head, lots of lemon rind ont he nose but on the tongue...mildly bitter rye flavor with a slight lemon peel taste. Thin bodied and somehow I wished this was *colder* so it might be more thirst-quenching. This could use more hop character, IMO. AdamGott (190), Idaho Falls, Idaho, USA

| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 5/5 | 9/20 | Aug 12, 2006 Lots of lemon in the nose, strawberries, some dusty malt. Lemon, very light rye, light malt. Meh. GeneralGao (3071), Iowa City, Iowa, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 9, 2006 Draught. Clear golden color with tenacious, but thin white head made up of tightly packed small bubbles. Those bubbles left a nice lace on the glass. Aroma and flavor were very similar; distinctly grainy, almost like a mash tun full of barley bathing in warm water. It was also a little yeasty and bready. Dry and smooth on the tongue. Carbonation was on the low end as far as American beers go. Not bad. theraven1971 (13), USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Aug 8, 2006 Bottle. My first rye beer, so don’t know if this is typical or an outlyer. Nothing too special here. Pours a clear, clean gold with a tiny head. Nose is rather nondescript - smells like good, clean water. Tastes the same, clean, clear, unexceptional. Not bad for a warm night with friends and a grill, but not something I would want to drink on a regular basis. Saarlander (1583), Rancho Cucamonga, California, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Aug 6, 2006 A lightly sourness to this one, with some malt flavor, very refreshing, almost like a dull lemonade, nothing great, but very drinkable. Cornfield (4972), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Aug 4, 2006 A bright yellow ale with a teeny head, its faint aroma is that of honey sweet malt with a dash of pepper. Thin, light malt taste, lightly fruity with said dash of pepper. Uninspired, but okay for hot weather when you need a quick quenching.
