Pale golen in color with a rapidly diminishing pinky thin white head. Amazingly thin in the fore then toasty grainy malts come in and give some flavor. Has an almost vanilla bread flavor to it sprinkle with freash wheat grains. It actually tastes pretty nice and leaves a lingering bready flavor on the tongue. Tastes much better than it looks or feels. OldMrCrow (1191), Seattle, Washington, USA

Pours a yellow amber, so clear that I never would have guessed unfiltered. The aroma is...weak summer beer. The flavor has some some lemon, hints of stewed corn, a bit of cracker malt, little if any hops in evidence (grassy, for presence they do offer) and the rye is even more obscure.
Certainly nothing special about this one. No glaring flaws and it goes down easy, but it’s watery and short on taste to the point of meeting macro standards. eaglefan538 (2363), Wilmington, Delaware, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 12, 2006 Call me crazy, but this is a nice summer beer, enjoyed while playing volleyball. No doubt, I’d have another for that purpose. Rating this as a blonde ale, it does well. Aroma was a bit grainy and of rye. Flavor was also grainy, malty, with a bitter, lightly tart rye finish. Almost seemed like there was some wheat in there too. Body was a little thin, but the flavor not lacking for a blonde. Ample carbonation, maybe too high for a beer designed for drinkability. beaconstreet (811), Washington DC, USA

I didn’t care for the somewhat acrid aroma. Is this what happens when you forge a deal with AB? Kinda reminded me of that stale beer taste of AB products. The head didn’t stick around for long. A fizzy summer drink for those Bud drinkers who want a heavy beer. jennajlover (101), Portland, Oregon, USA

A generous head, thins out a little and then stays.
Aroma is of malts with a slight bitter scent.
Flavor is decent. Little carbonation on the tongue. Slightly bitter with not much character to it. A decent brew for hot summer days. stison42 (318), Blacksburg, Virginia, USA
