Commercial Description:
Introducing Redhook Sunrye, a light, refreshing summer beer brewed with six barley malts, including a touch of organic rye. The opalescent golden color of Sunrye is a result of its unfiltered nature. Light and crisp, this brew was made for slaking summer thirsts.

Pint @ the Brewery, Woodinville, WA: Golden yellow in color, smallish head, white. Malty aroma, light, not much aroma. Ligut malty taste, citrus, nutty aftertaste. Light, crisp taste. Similar to a wheat.

Not bad, sunny, summery, typical of a summer ale. Not as much bite or as much spice as I would like, but it does have some nice sweet flavour happening. I think that it lacks body, but is overall a decent beer.

Pours a yellow color with a medium head that fades quickly. Aroma is of mild fruit almost like sweet tarts, lemon, and malt. Tastes of light citrus with a light hop spiciness followed by a roasted grain taste. Medium carbonation. An okay beer but not that refreshing or flavorful.

12 oz bottle. Poured an attractive light gold with medium white quickly dissipating head leaving almost no lacing. I think it was supposed to be uinfiltered but this example seems crystal clear. Nice perhaps too subtle aroma. Initial sips a bit weak, with watery mouthfeel. Hop presence asserts itself along with a subtle rye crispness a little ways in but the body is too thin. I can deal with the light slowly building flavors but it’s just too watery.

Hazy yellow with floating particles and a small off-white head. Rye? Perhaps they meant wry. No rye in the aroma or the taste. Some hops, doughy yeast, but no rye. Light bodies and watery. Something BMC drinkers would enjoy.

Interesting beer. It reminded me of a hefe in that it had a lemony flavor and aroma and was unfiltered. It also offered some cloves and lemons in the flavor. It was quite smooth, crisp, and clean. A super summer beer.

A bit too watery to be really good. Pours mirky, like stagnant lemonade. Aroma is estery and spicy. Flavor is reminiscent of a hefe, but less powerful and too watery. Not a bad summer chugger I guess.

Great ale. Love the rye that is left in this beer. Tastes great on a hot summer day after doing yard work.
