Commercial Description:
Introducing Redhook Sunrye, a light, refreshing summer beer brewed with six barley malts, including a touch of organic rye. The opalescent golden color of Sunrye is a result of its unfiltered nature. Light and crisp, this brew was made for slaking summer thirsts.

Slightly hazy golden color with a weak head and lacing. Aroma- mild malty spicy with touch of lemon. Light bodied with an interesting malty flavor perhaps because of the rye in there, a little citrusy with a well balanced bitterness and dryish finish. Quite drinkable and it had a pilsnerlike quality to it.

Slightly hazy golden yellow. Small fizzy white head. Grainy malts in the aroma. Muted maltiness and a lingering grassy hop note form the flavors. Some huskiness I atrribute to the rye. Finish is somewhat grainy. Mouthfeel is light, crisp, and watery.

From bottle. Nice golden color, pleasant head, decent lace. Wish the taste was as pleaseant as it looks. Bland, mildly hoppy. Best complement I can give this beer is "inoffensive". Not bad, just not, well, anything, really. Pretty refreshing on a hot day, but so is water. Eh...

The old Redhook rye was pretty good, this didnt measure up. Draft at River City Beer & Seafood Festival. Light gold, good head, faint bread aroma. Papery, dry, old pepper finish. Blech.
