Draft at River City Beer & Seafood Festival. Light gold, good head, faint bread aroma. Papery, dry, old pepper finish. Blech. waeltzy (53), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA

Delecate and slightly off-bitter hoppy aftertaste which i enjoyed. Overall it was pretty boring. Had it on tap at the Pittsburgh Deli Company in Shadyside. | 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 4/5 | 7/20 | Jun 4, 2005 Pours a hazy yellow with a slight head that lives a trace of lace. Flavor has a hop bite to it, but I’ll be durned if there is a hops taste in it. There is a hint of malt in the finish, but it’s merely an afterthought. I detected a tinge of lemon in there somewhere, but not enough to make much of an impression. Uninspired. GirlyBeer (183), Biddeford, Maine, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | May 30, 2005 Portsmouth location: on tap. This is a very refreshing summer beer. Unfortunately it came off as a little watery. Yellow, no head, almost no smell. Not a lot of flavor. It went well with my dinner because it was almost water. PullMeABeer (203), Phoenix, Arizona, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | May 30, 2005 Bottle. Pours a bright golden yellow, frothy head that drops to nothing, clouded by tons of tinny suspended particles. Aroma is chalky with hints of banana and light fruityness. Flavor is bland and grainy, hint of dry rye that somewhat rounds out the harsh grain flavors. Body is thin. Water would be a good substitute for this beer. Light and crisp with a quality hoppiness to it. Light golden in color, small head. Finishes clean with some citrus flavors. Great to whack after biting into a burger or steak sandwich. | 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | May 14, 2005 Poured a nice golden color with a moderate white head. Milder aroma, some grains, grassy. Flavor started out a bit wheaty but got taken over by some big graininess that I did not care for. Light refreshing body. Substandard. Thats what I get for believing I might actually get some rye.
