Commercial Description:
Introducing Redhook Sunrye, a light, refreshing summer beer brewed with six barley malts, including a touch of organic rye. The opalescent golden color of Sunrye is a result of its unfiltered nature. Light and crisp, this brew was made for slaking summer thirsts.

Nothing special. Minimal contribution from the rye.

(bottled 4/29/03, consumed 6/14/03): Particle-filled cloudy yellow with small off-white head. Aroma is sweet, wheat, slightly grassy, faint rye. Taste is mild grainy, sweet, finishing fairly innocuous grassy. Pleasant medium body.

Mostly clear, sunshine gold brew. Small, frothy white head. The nose is yeasty with leather and apricot notes. Mild citrus and butterscotch flavors. A bit thin. Dry rye notes. Light-bodied with a watery mouthfeel and fizzy carbonation. Short, crisp, clean finish. I guess I'll go against the grain here and hand out a good score. Great beach beer! It is what it is... a very light ale.

Slight hazy urine colored. Chalkboardish cloying wheat aroma. Bland flavor. Wet and sour finish. I don't like this one, I think that follows the trend of Redhook beers.
