Redhook stopped producing this beer when brewery bought by major company. Rye beer not for all beer drinkers. Unfiltered, with nice crisp taste. I have been able to closely replicate brewing my own though, so I won’t go without!! k2 (146), USA

I like the thought that you might be drinking a beer in one of it’s most primitive forms and that is what this tasted like. mop99 (2), USA does not count | 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 20, 2002 I really miss this beer, as it was considerably better than most wheat beers. It had a pleasant flavor that didn’t disappear right away. RugbyMike (14), Woodbury, Minnesota, USA

Yet, the small amount of rye seems to give this beverage a light, wheat taste, similar to a witbier. I find this one of the best summer quenchers rivaled by maybe some of the hoppier IPAs. A wonderful summer brew. karl (159), Glendale, New York, USA

Poured with a fluffy white head that disappeared quickly and very little lacing. Hint of rye came through the aroma. A wheat type flavor with a touch of citrus/spice. I liked this one more than I expected to. Braudog (3778), Dayton, Ohio, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 8, 2004 This is a golden beer that's highly sedimented with tiny still particles clouding the whole glass. There's little to no head. The aroma is grainy. The flavor is citricly acidic and vaguely sweet with an underlying crisp malt flavor. This is actually a very good light cooler of a beer.
