unclemike (338), Ft. Riley, Kansas, USA Jun 17, 2008 Pours cloudy gold with a white head that fizzled away quickly. Grassy, grainy aroma with a little lemon. Smells like a summer brew. Light flavor with lemon, grass, and hops. Not a bad taste but is similar to Fraoch Heather Ale and I didn’t like that either. Very light palate and would probably be refreshing for people who like this style
blipp (713), Grand Island, New York, USA Aug 21, 2008 Bottle. Pours clear gold with a white head. Aroma has a nice hop/malt balance with caramel and floral notes. Sweet malt flavor with lemon and a touch of hops. Not bad. yesyouam (347), Fairport, New York, USA Aug 17, 2008 Redhook Sunrye is a slightly hazy pale yellow ale with a thick, soft, bone white head. The head retention and lacing are excellent. There isn’t much aroma here-- possibly lemon, maybe lemon cleanser. It is quite thin, bubbly and a bit alkaline. It has a unique flavor. I’m getting fenugreek here. There are notes of rye and lemon. It’s lawnmower beer. BuckeyeBoy (1129), Boise, Idaho, USA Aug 11, 2008 On tap Pours out a yellow topped with a white head. Aroma of ligth malt and grass. Tast of a little sweet and soft. riversideAK (1569), Shoreline, Washington, USA Aug 11, 2008 Light sweet mild grainy aroma. Golden colored brew with a fizzy head. Light sweet, just the smallest hint of rye. Finishes pretty clean. Just not a lot going on here. One might say uninteresting. wcampbell (416), Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 5, 2008 Decent. I am not a fan of rye beers but you can barely taste it in this one. Not much going on. Some wheat and citrus flavor. Lightly sweet. Pale lager taste.
