| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 27, 2008 Good beer. Smooth and refreshing. A little more heavy tasting than many other ales, which I kind of expected. Hints of caramel, pine, and a mild hoppy flavor. wcampbell (577), Central, South Carolina, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 10/20 | Mar 20, 2008 Surpisingly thin and weak for a six percent beer. All malt flavor, nothing stands out. Light sweetness in the taste and finish. Easily drinkable. Light caramel flavor like an amber ale. jredmond (1040), New Jersey, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 20, 2008 12 oz bottle. Tried this beer right after sampling Troegs Nugget Nectar - which was pretty hoppy. This was a nice contrast. Poured an amber orange red body. Very minimal aroma. The taste was pretty good, nice and smooth. Maybe some roasty notes towards the finish. rugbydude05 (298), Kew Gardens, New York, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 16, 2008 12 oz bottle, pours a clear rusty color with minimal head. Aroma was faint but I could detect sweetness and hoppiness. However, upon tasting the beer, the palate and flavor were very impressive. Very smooth, and the flavor fills your mouth with a sweet taste with a hint of bitter. No bad aftertaste, and the alcohol is noticeable but not overpowering. Good effort at a winter ale. puggy211 (589), cordova, Tennessee, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 9, 2008 Updated: Apr 2, 2008Bottle. Pours a a nice amber color with a decent creamy beige head. Aroma is of pine and grapefruit. Taste is of grapefruit, roasted malts, pine and has a slight pine aftertaste. Goes down rather smooth and is pretty tasty. I am so glad that I was able to pick up a bottle of this brew (managed to find one last bottle of it in town). I wish I would have picked up a sixer of this when it was in stock. Overall, this beer is rather enjoyable and easy drinking. Not a bad seasonal offering from RedHook.
