Bottle. Pours a Copper body with a small white head. Nose is surprisingly citrusy and semi-sweet. Light toasted malt notes as well. Taste is toasted malts, orange juice, light toffee, and a bit of caramel notes. Thin spiciness throughout this one. Body seems thin with light carbonation. Finishes with more citrus and light toasty malts.

Nearly brown body with a decent tan head. Aroma of citrus hops and malt. Roasted malt flavor with a quick dry hop finish. Nice, but I was hoping for a bit more.

Not much to this beer. There’s a caramel malt base with some earthy and citric hopping to it, but little more. Doesn’t come across as an English strong ale, more like an EPA gone bad.

Dark reddish brown color. Aromas of malts/citrus. Flavor of hops and some malt. I don’t know if they change this recipe year to year like some breweries. It seems like this has been better in years past.

Bottle from random gas station in Maine. Brown body, creamy beige head. Green hoppy aroma was unexpected, and only becomes more prominent as the glass goes on. Touch of smokey log cabin in the background. Flavour is a bit odd. Very strong celery characteristics, Mild bitterness over sweet malt hiding below. Vaguely herbal/licorice undertones. Average palate. Bizarrely interesting. Enjoyable but puzling.

A fresh grassy aroma with caramel. Not a lotta of head and the body is lightweight. Nice balance of hops and malt with coffee, caramel and a peppery finish.

Dark copper pour, with minimal head. Aroma of caramal malt, brown sugar, some vegetals, and even brine. The taste was caramel malty but had funky vegetal off notes that I’m hoping were an aberration. I had a hard time finishing this one.

A little sweet, and not voerwhelmingly flavorful, but the hoppy flavor dominates. A little spice and malt. Not what I hoped for from a winter ale, though I love hops and I like this.
