This poured a red to brown with fat white head. Nose of caramel malts and some spices. Medium mouthfeel, but smooth. Flavor is malty with floral hops. Slight bitterness in the finish.

Winter ales usually aren’t my favorite. This one was probably the best of the winter ales I’ve had but I still didn’t care too much for it.

12-9-08. 12 oz. bottle. Poured amber-brown with a nice fluufy off white head. Smells of malt, molasses, and spices. Tasted malty, caramely, creamy, and hints of some dark fruit, sugar, and cinnamin. Some pine in the finish. Aftertaste is smooth and sweet. Good stuff.

Bottle. Pour brown with white head. Nice roasted malt smell. Very pleasant palate. Pretty good for a winter beer. Had some of the ESB taste in it.

Bottle thanks to Drew. Bottle poured to glass. Copper, red with rocky white head. Molasses & biscuit malt aroma with a moderate hops to balance. Creamy mouthfeel. Semi lacing retained small bead around rim through out entire drink.

pours a reddish brown with an aroma of floral hops, woody notes, and malt. Flavor starts sweet with caramel and molasses, goes to a quick bitter stage, then back to more sweetness. Decent palate, quite a nice session beer.

Bottle. Poured a ruby color with a creamy tan head that settles to a ring and had light lacing. Aromas of pine and floral with a toasted malt background. The flavor finds more floral, caramel, spices and some light pine hops. Light to medium body with a medium bitterness.
