omhper (11033), Stockholm, Sweden Jun 9, 2005 Bottled. Golden colour, rich head. Banana aroma. Medium sweet with balanced esters and soft mouthfeel. A refreshing, well made hefeweizen. Oakes (7047), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Jan 6, 2008 Very pale. Took some work to get any sediment out of the bottle and into my glass. The head didn’t hold. It’s billed as Weihenstephan yeast, full-on Bavarian but it smells Berliner to me with that clean tartness and vague gooseberry notes. Vaguely tart on the palate with hints of lime. Not a bad beer, but not remotely Bavarian. duff (5407), Sydney, Australia, Surrey, England Apr 4, 2005 Tap@Redoak, Sydney. There was something a little odd about the aroma, i don’t know what it was, but i will go fro a slight rubbery character. As a few others have mentioned, get passed this and its a very nice, pretty authentic German wheat indeed. Pretty smooth clove/banana flavours as expected. Liked it a lot flavourwise, even if it did have some Aussie fizz in the finish. motelpogo (4360), Plzen, Czech Republic Feb 19, 2007 on tap at redoak. hazy yellow with a prominent head. aroma of vanilla and a touch of raw sugar. pretty messy, some sherbet, alcohol, weetbix and a dull texture. oh well bluevegie (1853), Perth, Australia Oct 3, 2004 Quite enjoyed this as I don’t always appreciate too many wheat beers. The taste was great without being over the top, banana and cloves and a fairly good body.
