Commercial Description:
This is our first mead released in July 2001. To-date we receive more requests and attention for Black Raspberry Nectar then for any other one of our meads! With the mouth feel and texture of beer and the light taste of a lower alcohol mead this beverage is the very definition of "refreshing".

Tasted at SD Fair festival.Bright and light red.Aromas of what else but raspberry. carbonated on the palate. Sweet and fruity with a smooth feel. Refreshing on a sunny warm day such as today in Del Mar.

Tasted at the fifth annual Colorado Wine Tasting Festival in Manitou Springs, CO. Again, a nice raspberry nose and body mingled with the dry honey taste. But as with the other nectar series, I could have lived without the carbonation.

The aroma is sweet and fruity with raspberry and plastic. The appearance is berry red. The flavor is sweet and fruity without being cloying. The palate is thin but refreshing. Overall a really good mead.

this is the best nectar style yet. it’s highly fizzy with flavor of sweet, ripe rassberries. the palate is thin, yet the rest of the mead fulfills your tastebuds. perfect for the spring.

750 ml bottle. Pours a clear reddish pink with some effervescence. The aroma was honey and raspberries, but not sweet smelling. The flavor was a bit sweeter with the honey and raspberry flavors well-balanced. The light carbonation in combination with the flavors yields a mead that is very light on the palate and quite refreshing. And the cobalt blue bottle with the swing-top and their unique lable design deserve mention as well.

This $15.49 bottled brew with a flippy top from a bottle shop poured a head of bubbles that were and left behind a transparent uncarbonated red colored body and a fair lacing. The mild aroma was honey and raspberry. The crisp mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start mediumly tingly at the finish. It was actually quite good at first taste. The mellow flavor contained notes of raspberry and honey. It was very wine like too. The black curranr flavor increases as it warms up making it it worse tasting. A decent one but not one that I would consider drinking again.
