Commercial Description:
This 2001 Reserve, our first, is creating quite a stir. It’s warming, dense, velvety, sinful, luscious, sweet and like nothing you’ve ever had. We create this only once a year and it truly represents the best Redstone makes. Black raspberry puree has been added to three honeys and then ‘The Love’ was blended in. Every sip is a taste explosion that will do any appreciator proud.

Pours a deep red with aromas of fresh berries. Not overly sweet but has a wonderful flavor. Alcohol is unnoticable.

No head (still). Body is dark reddish purple. Aroma is strong notes of honey, blackberry jam, raisin, light notes of grape, and alcohol. Flavor is harshly sweet, moderately acidic. Finish is moderately sweet, moderately acidic. Full body, syrupy texture, flat carbonation. See, now, here's the difference between the Boysenberry 12% and this stuff...the aroma on this isn't terribly complex to my nose either, but it's a LOT more attractive. Really dense rich blackberry, and an equally strong waft of floral and citrusy honey. Yes, it's very very sweet, and you can't drink much as a result. But as a dessert wine or port, it's really luxurious and enjoyable. The Boysenberry is just Kool-Aid in comparison.
