Sickboy282 (1098), San Diego, California, USA Nov 28, 2004 Pours a deep red with aromas of fresh berries. Not overly sweet but has a wonderful flavor. Alcohol is unnoticable. DaSilky1 (1932), San Diego, California, USA May 16, 2004 dark ruby red, no head..berry aroma with some powdered sugar and red wine...very sweet, very berry...dry, heated...porty...dessertish..in fact very dessertish. Ernest (4481), Boulder, Colorado, USA Jan 15, 2004 No head (still). Body is dark reddish purple. Aroma is strong notes of honey, blackberry jam, raisin, light notes
of grape, and alcohol. Flavor is harshly sweet, moderately acidic. Finish is moderately sweet, moderately
acidic. Full body, syrupy texture, flat carbonation. See, now, here's the difference between the Boysenberry
12% and this stuff...the aroma on this isn't terribly complex to my nose either, but it's a LOT more attractive.
Really dense rich blackberry, and an equally strong waft of floral and citrusy honey. Yes, it's very very sweet,
and you can't drink much as a result. But as a dessert wine or port, it's really luxurious and enjoyable. The
Boysenberry is just Kool-Aid in comparison.
