| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | May 27, 2009 Draft at Tyler’s, Durham. Clear, pinkish red with almost no head. Visible large carbonation bubbles like you’d see in a soda. The carbonation makes the mouthfeel similar to ginger ale. I’ve had very few meads, and if this one’s pretty typical, I won’t be having a lot more anytime soon. Tasted like a mix between champagne and beer. My wife accurately said it felt like drinking a wine cooler. Too sweet to be refreshing, too light and tart to be a brew to savor. Not my thing. chandler0201 (358), Durham, North Carolina, USA
