Commercial Description:
Like our signature Black Raspberry Nectar, this too is medium. However, the addition of boysenberry puree creates a slightly dryer, crisper mead. This mead definitely has gathered a cult following.

Draft at Tyler’s, Durham. Clear, pinkish red with almost no head. Visible large carbonation bubbles like you’d see in a soda. The carbonation makes the mouthfeel similar to ginger ale. I’ve had very few meads, and if this one’s pretty typical, I won’t be having a lot more anytime soon. Tasted like a mix between champagne and beer. My wife accurately said it felt like drinking a wine cooler. Too sweet to be refreshing, too light and tart to be a brew to savor. Not my thing.

Pale pink/red with thin and quickly dissipating white head. Berries in aroma, sugary flavor with a hint of flowers. Crisp and somewhat champagne-like in the aftertaste.

A pinkish mead with no head. The aroma is sweet with notes of honey and berries, and so is the flavor, though added a note of grain?!? The mouthfeel is sparkling.
