| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 1/5 | 4/10 | 1/5 | 8/20 | Aug 2, 2009 From a bottle at the Vintage Estates, nice place. Volatile aroma. Lighter pale color. Some straw and perhaps a few rotten farmy flavors, but in a good way. A less viscous mead. Mouth coating and friendly to a certain extent. What can be said, this stuff is wine. drfabulous (1273), Columbia, Missouri, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 18, 2009 750ml Bottled on June 4, 2007. Labeled as Redstone Meadery Honey Wine with Juniper Berries. Pours a clear yellow hue with some particulates and decent legs. Aroma is sweet honey with some wine tannins and a bit of bitterness (from the juniper?) in the finish. Taste is sweet upfront but balanced by the spice and bitterness of the tannins and the juniper. Alcohol is noticeable, but this stuff is still very drinkable. Thin mouthfeel for a mead of this gravity. brokephibroke (146), Mead, Colorado, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 3, 2008 Aroma: Strong honey with pine needle / juniper and apple. Hazy gold yellow pour with suspended particles. Sweet. Honey predominate up front with a dryer, piney finish. Alcohol is present as well as citrus. Good. NomDeBeer (400), Maryland, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 30, 2008 Pours light yellow with no carbonation. taste is dry and sweet of honey and juniper berries (imagine that). Very smooth - if a bit thin - mouthfeel. Alcohol is dangerously well-hidden. Much lighter than beer and that makes it a welcolmed change of pace for me. Also, you can drink tons of this stuff and still feel fine the next morning. Ungstrup (15382), Frederiksberg, Denmark
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 26, 2008 A light golden mead. The aroma is sweet with light notes of both honey and juniper berries. The flavor is sweet only with notes of honey to start off with, but then the juniper berries hit the palate.
