Jan 10, 2007 This mead poured a clear light golden color. The aroma and flavor were very sweet. Big cinnamon and vanilla notes. Honey is definite. Big warming sensation. I can only drink a small sample of most meads in one sitting. That holds true with this one as well.

Nov 26, 2006 wonderfully sweet and tasty mead. medium sweet, light ochre-yellow haze from the added honey for sweetness. Great light alfalfa honey to match the spices. Strong vanilla and just enough cinnamon aroma / flavor. If you have a bottle, let it age at least 2 years...more is better.

Nov 16, 2006 750 ml cobalt blue swing-top bottle poured a clear pale gold. Aromas of honey,cinnamon, a hint of vanilla and pepper. Palate was light bodied, crisp and warming. Flavors of honey, cinnamon, pepper and a hint of vanilla with a warm lingering sweet finish.

Oct 21, 2006 my first mead so i dont have anything to compare it to. slightly hazy gold. no head. alcohol, pears, and honey with some vanilla in aroma. very warming palate. sticky. cinnamon, honey, vanilla, and apple juice come through in flavor. i enjoyed it.

Oct 18, 2006 Pours a hazy golden. Slight blush. This is a still mead. Indestinct honey aroma with a good bit of vanilla and slightly less cinnamon spicing, although the cinnamon still might qualify as a bit heavy handed. Sweet, but not the syrupy sweet of some of the heavier meads like Apis Jadwiga. Nice spicing in the finish as well as a lemon zest that would have me convinced they actually added lemon zest if I didn’t know better.

Sep 5, 2006 Still semi sweet light yellow. Aroma of a little honey, lots of cinnamon. Can taste a little honey, but the cinnamon is a little overwhelming, which is okay for this type. Leaves you wanting more.

May 1, 2006 Pours a light yellow, golden color with no head. Aroma is vanilla, cinnamon and plenty of alcohol. Flavor is the same with a nice alcohol warming, not too strong. The cinnamon and the alcohol blend together very nicely.
