sooo i’m going to rate this as the RateBeer.com style description dictates: i assume that this is not a good example of a mead, but it is so weird and drinkable--at least it is not too one-dimensional; primarily honey, apricot, mint, dirt, sugar, with some subtle carbonation... yup.

Clear light gold in color with soft honeyed menthol and fruity aromas. Crisp honey apricot flavors warm to faint rice and grape-like tones. Airy body and dry with just a touch of carbonation. Would be very nice to sip on a hot summer day...

On tap at the Durham WBF. Light straw with a thin white head. Very sweet honey nose. Extremely sweet (too sweet) honey flavor. Body is far too light. Rather acidic finish. Meh.

Swing-top blue bottle from Ron’s in Farmington. Not sure what to expect, since this is my second mead and my first melomel Very light yellow translucent body, almost the color of water. Smells fruity and alcoholic. Tastes tart and fruity, with apricot taking the forefront with slight honey-like notes and a bit of alcohol warming. Slick somewhat aqueous mouthfeel with less carbonation than expected considering the appearance. Fairly drinkable for the abv, though there’s a bit of an alcoholic bite toward the finish that is reminiscent of a liquor. Still a decent beverage. Not something I’d have all the time, but I’m definitely glad I broadened my horizons with this one.

750 ml bottle. Pours a pale straw gold with no head. Lightl;y carbonated. Lovely aroma of honey, a bit of yeast, and a hint of apricot. The flavor is again honey along with a stronger yeast component than the aroma would indicate, along with a very light touch of apricot. The effervescence helps keeps things light on the palate, as it should be. A bit dry at the finish. Very nice.

Light blonde with little carbonation. Mellifluous honey aroma with tinge of apricot, this mead improved immensely as it warmed and aired. Flavor builds into a heavy honey and light apricot that is oh, so lovely. Slight dry finish.

Tasted at the fifth annual Colorado Wine Tasting Festival in Manitou Springs, CO. Nice apricot nose with a similarly apricot body. This is one of their carbonated meads, and while good I think a lack of carbonation would have improved this product.

Thin on the color and on the palate but it makes for a perfect spring/summer time refresher. aroma has small hint of cinnamon. the taste is light fizzy carbonation with taste of the mild apricots. enjoy it all the way
