Commercial Description:
Style: Traditional
Traditional meads celebrate pure honey. This mead has no fruit, herbs, or spices added.
Ingredients Include: Colorado Water, Orange Blossom Honey, Wildflower Honey, Montrachet Yeast, and The Love!
Process: In order to preserve the delicate honey flavor, we pasteurize rather than boil.
Swing Top: Our resealable bottle preserves the quality of the mead more effectively than recorking a bottle. Reuse or recycle.
Serving Temperature: We suggest serving slightly chilled. However, feel free to excperiment as different nuances are revealed at different temperatures. Unfiltered, may contain sediment.

Honey. Clear. Mead as mead is. How many descriptives are there for a mead? It has honey; it was made with yeast.

Backroom sample from the bottle at Whole Foods Charlottesville. Pours a clear amber color. Aroma is sweet honey with a faint but of spice. Taste is overly sweet and closer to apple cider than mead. Very light notes of honey, spice and a fair bit of alcohol. Medium bodied.

Bottle purchased from Whole Foods in Short Pump, VA on 03/27/2009. Production date: March 14, 2007. Very clear golden yellow body with thin legs that quickly slide down the glass. Big vanilla aroma with light orange blossom and fruity notes. Sweet vanilla flavor, some orange blossom, and a touch of alcohol. Medium body, not thick at all, with no carbonation and a smooth slightly syrupy finish.

Clear pale yellow, medicinal aroma, menthol flavor, mint, honey and light apple. I’ve had this in the frige for weeks and have been slowly enjoying it. Probably won’t buy it again because of the price and the strong medicinal menthol phenols, but th ebottle is awesome and will be host to many of my own mead / homebrew ventures

Eh, I expected more from mead. This instead taste like a chardonnay with a little honey aftertaste. Not worth the price. I guess if you want good mead, you have to pay more for it. I would prefer Barenjager honey liquor. That’s a mouthful of honey and it’ll mess you up.
