Ungstrup (11354), Frederiksberg, Denmark Aug 24, 2008 A light golden mead. The aroma is very powerful with dominating notes of honey as well as light notes of grapes. The flavor is also very powerful with strong notes of both honey and white wine, and the body is powerful too - no wonder at 12% ABV. ratman197 (2346), Arvada, Colorado, USA Jan 27, 2007 Swing top bottle 2003 production date poured a clear light golden yellow. Aromas of honey, light spice and a hint of grape. Palate was light bodied smooth and warming. Flavors of honey, light spice and a hint of grape with a warming lingering sweet finish. jcwattsrugger (4045), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Nov 2, 2006 500ml bottle-pours a white head and pale yellow color. Taste is grape with some bite. Ernest (4250), Boulder, Colorado, USA Feb 6, 2004 2003 production. No head (still). Body is light yellow. Aroma is notes of honey, celery, green olive, white wine. Flavor is heavily sweet, moderately acidic. Finish is moderately sweet, moderately acidic. Medium body, watery (almost syrupy) texture, flat carbonation, moderately alcoholic. Interesting aroma and decent flavor balance, but the alcohol burns a bit more than other meads I've had.
