Medium off-white head with good staying power, and decent lacing. The aroma is roasted malt, nuts and hops. Medium-bodied with a robust toasted malt character, along with a good amount of hops and some spices as well. The finish is refreshing and crisp with a nutty aftertaste. Overall this beer doesn’t look like a lot of Doppelbocks but it does a good job just the same. brownalegirl (199), Fountain, Michigan, USA

It does have some smoky and spicy tones once you get it going, so it dopples a bit as it warms, with a generous, quick drying heat of hops. Interesting brown sugar note in the close. Definitely one of the most engaging and fun brews to try at this brewery.
