KyotoLefty (539), Kyoto, Japan Dec 8, 2008 Bottle.
Light blonde color, slight lacy head, high carbonation. Aroma like a Belgian blonde: a bit sweet, malty, figs. Good malt flavor, relatively strong, decent hopping. Much like a blonde Belgian ale. Slightly sour and hoppy finish. Lingering sweetness and alcohol warmth goes along with the hops. Contains wheat malt as well as barley, and that taste definitely comes through as well. A touch of spiciness as well. Very good.
shrubber85 (2598), COB Speicher, Iraq May 25, 2008 Bottle. Toffee malt aroma with light hint of hops. Golden yelllow color with moderate head. Creamy toffee malt and light grassy hops flavor. Light tart finish. Nice drinkable beer. labologist (55), Bramhall, England Aug 14, 2006 A light golden malty beer with a sweet start and a bitter finish. A standard biere de Garde. jbrus (4350), Delft, Netherlands May 11, 2006 Bottled. Aroma is light malty with strong citrus (mainly lemon). Golden color, white head, good lace. Light sweet, malty, citrus, light bitter, sparkling, light sticky. Mungo (2474), Southampton, Hampshire, England Jan 3, 2006 Bottle. Spicy wheaty fruit aromas. Light and refreshing. Not really srure if it contains wheat but had a soft texture and slight tartness I’ve found in some beers with wheat.
