Pernille (518), Copenhagen, Denmark Jul 12, 2005 Bottle. Huge head for a Refsvindinge. Looks pretty. Snowwhite head on top of a golden, clear beer. And in this case, golden actually means that it looks like gold. Smells just like apples. Very inviting. Unfortunately the flavor doesn’t match up to the expectations. It lacks some sweetness as well as bitterness. Tastes hollow. Hansen (1871), Randers, Denmark Nov 30, 2006 Medium yellow and clear. Has a lasting, white head. Flavor starts with some fresh and sour-apple notes then a cereal aroma turns up. I find it ok. saxo (2526), Højbjerg, Aarhus, Denmark Nov 1, 2006 Draught. Medium head with medium duration. Color is light golden. Aroma is citrus and apple. Taste is apple and malt with some acidity. Lively carbonation. Hildigöltur (5055), København Ø, Denmark Jun 15, 2005 Draught. Golden coloured. Light aroma and flavour with fruity apple notes. Slightly sour. Refreshing. LoveCaissa (873), Copenhagen, Denmark Oct 27, 2005 My beer is just called "Ævle Øl". Light yellow colour with a decent white head. Aroma is faint but with clear hints of apples. The flavour is very acidic and refreshing with a nice fruitiness (apples of course). The finish is lightly dry and bitter. Despite the fairly low rating, I think this beer would be great on a warm summer day. P.S. My beer doesn’t fit the other ratings. I wonder if the beer has changed?
