Ungstrup (11933), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jul 1, 2006 A dark amber beer with a nice brown head. The aroma is quite strong with cress (karse) notes, but also with light notes of wheat. The flavor is sweet and again with notes of both cress, and wheat, again the wheat notes are very light for a Dunklesweizen. The end has a light wheat note too. Papsoe (11421), Frederiksberg, Denmark Nov 23, 2006 (Bottle 33 cl) Pours a clear, reddish mahogany with a small, dense, beige head. Distinct Refsvindinge house cgaracter in both aroma and flavour. Sweet aroma of roasted malt. Medium-bodied with dry, roasted notes of malt. A litle flat perhaps but quite pleasant. I have to agree with jbrus though - in spite of the added wheat (and oats) this is no way a Dunkelweizen, hence I’ve changed it to Sweet Stout. 231106 omhper (11033), Stockholm, Sweden May 22, 2006 [Draught at Købehavnske Øldage] Hazy dark brown. Not much esters. yespr (8544), Copenhagen O, Denmark Mar 1, 2007 33 cL bottle. pours black with light brown head. Aroma is roasted malt and yeast blended with the classic refsvindinge farm aroma.
