Ungstrup (11933), Frederiksberg, Denmark May 20, 2003 An unclear orange beer with no head. The aroma is sweet with notes of oranges. The flavor is thin and slightly sweet in the beginning, then slightly wheaty with notes of oranges and no bitterness. A below average wheat beer - too thin and boring. Papsoe (11421), Frederiksberg, Denmark Aug 14, 2005 (Bottle 33 cl) Beautiful deep orange, no head and almost no carbonation. Completely lacking any wheat character and has an unpleasant tang. Close to horrible. I’d prefer to believe that this is off, but with Refsvindinge you never know - this might be how it was intended? Brewmaster John Nielsen uses thyme instead of coriander. 160203 omhper (11033), Stockholm, Sweden May 12, 2003 Sampled draught at the Danish Beer Festival.
Yellow incolour, really cloudy. Unusual oily aroma with notes of oranges. Malty with balanced sweetness and some toffee. Unusual and well balanced. One of my favourite beers at the festival! yespr (8544), Copenhagen O, Denmark Jan 20, 2008 33 cL bottle. Pours hazy yellow to orange with dense white head. Light brett-ish and citrus aroma.
