Ungstrup (11933), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jan 9, 2008 Bottled. Sampled 3 years old. A deep red beer with a medium tan head. The aroma is very sweet and quite complex with notes of grain, berries, alcohol, wood, and some spices. The flavor is very sweet with notes of malt, berries, grain, brown sugar, and licorice, leading to a dry slightly bitter finish with notes of wood. The body is sirupy. PetetheMeat (502), Hove, Denmark Aug 2, 2006 Beige, lasting head. Amber ale. Very rich malty sweet aroma. More malty sweetness in the flavour. Notes of roasted malt. Sherry too? Sugarsticky palate. Hides the ABV very well. Soft carbonation. Overall, special but very nice, if you like sweet ale... ;.)
