Ungstrup (11933), Frederiksberg, Denmark Mar 17, 2005 A hazy orange beer with a disappearing off-white head. The aroma is of caramel with light notes of hops. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel combined with some weird notes of stable, leading to a more clean dry hoppy end. Refsvindinge can do much better than this, but thanks to Jeppe for tracking this seldom beer down. Papsoe (11421), Frederiksberg, Denmark Nov 12, 2005 (Bottle 33 cl) Vintage 2005: Beautiful, clear amber with a small, off-white head. Sweetish, malty aroma. Very soft and smooth with a caramelish sweetness and some typical, rustic Refsvindinge notes from the malt. Almost no bitterness. 291005 omhper (11033), Stockholm, Sweden Mar 1, 2005 Bottled
Brownish amber. Roasty, sweaty aroma. Sweet with soft, rounded mouthfeel and medium body. Notes of carrots(!) and grain. Low bitterness. Strange, but pretty good. MiP (6742), Flensburg, Germany Nov 16, 2005 Bottle. Bready malt aroma. Clear greyish copper colour. Very small head. Thin mouthfeel. Flavour is OK malty. Sweet and peppery aftertaste. A little boring, but quite drinkable. fiulijn (6180), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy Mar 14, 2005 Amber color. Aroma of sugar and vegetables. Some sweetness, caramel, malt; but the vegetables touch spoils it.
