Ungstrup (11933), Frederiksberg, Denmark May 3, 2004 The aroma is dominated by caramel with roasted notes in the background - quite interesting for a Bock. The color is copper and it poures with a nice head which collapses quite fast. The flavor is very sweet with notes of caramel, roasted malt, and roasted bread, which gives way to alcohol, which prickles the tongue long after You swallow and leaves You with a nice aftertaste of alcohol and caramel. I really enjoy this beer, because it is quite complex for a Bock, but still has the strength and warmth of the type. Papsoe (11421), Frederiksberg, Denmark Aug 14, 2005 (Bottle 33 cl) Deep amber colour, slightly hazy with a very small head. Bready, full-bodied sweetish and very aromatic. Very lovely. 070404 omhper (11033), Stockholm, Sweden Oct 15, 2003 Updated: Oct 27, 2003Bottled. Pale amber, near no head. Rounded and soft with buttery caramel character. Bold, clumsy malt profile leads to a sweaty finish. A beer with some personality, but also some flaws. yespr (8544), Copenhagen O, Denmark Sep 15, 2007 33 cL bottle. Pours slight hazy orange with a crispy/creamy off-white head. Sweet and slight fruity aroma. Sweet malty flavour with fruity notes. Alcohol provides some body to the mouthfeel but is otherwise hidden. Grainy and malty sweet finish with a very mellow bitterness. No wonder that Harpoon wanted to make an interpretation of exactly this brew. Nice joergen (6951), Frederiksberg, Denmark Oct 30, 2005 Draft.
