Ungstrup (11933), Frederiksberg, Denmark May 26, 2007 Draft. A golden beer with a white head. The aroma is sweet malty and grassy, and the flavor is mainly dry and grassy, leading to a slightly bitter end, with a slightly thin body. Very light on the malt. Papsoe (11421), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jul 26, 2008 (Bottle 33 cl) Courtesy of yespr. Pours a clear warm golden with a nice, dense white head. Fresh floral hoppy nose. Medium body with a soft mouthfeel. Good malt base and a distinct dry and bitter finish. Quite decently crafted. 140608 omhper (11033), Stockholm, Sweden May 23, 2007 Draught at Københavnske Øldage. Hazy golden. Vague appley nose. Medium sweet and light bodied with fresh lightly grainy malt and rather clean mouthfeel. The hop rate seems very low. As a frefreshing summer ale it works. Wonder why they named it IPA? (If my memory served me right it was also called Fynsk Humledrøm.) yespr (8544), Copenhagen O, Denmark Jun 7, 2008 33 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden yellow with a lacing white head. Mild grainy aroma. Light fruity hops flavour yet with a solid malt base. Mild grainy. Ends medium dry and bitter. joergen (6951), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jun 8, 2007 Draught, served as fynsk humledrøm.
Clear golden coloured with a white head.
Aroma of malts with notes of hops.
Flavour of malts with notes of hops.
Very boring, cannot see anything that could qualify this beer as an IPA, seems more like a thin and boring lager. The name is right, this beer makes you dream of hops!
