Commercial Description:
Hvid Guld is a beautiful amber coloured strong beer, a little more flavourful than a regular pilsner. Sweet start and a hoppy bitter finish, gives the beer a perfect balance. First brewed in 1989 on water, pilsner malt and hops. Bottom fermented. A little more of everything and a little longer lagering time.

initally very nice aroma for a "gold beer" sweet notes, mixed with slight sour notes (the kind of sour that is intentional). after a minute aroma got way more boring. almost clear golden, large thick white head that dissapears quickly. A little strange flavor. sawdust, some (well balanced) things i can’t discern, but a bitterness lasts longer. sugar and sawdust also lasts longer. strange brew. not really good. palate is watery, sort of similar to some english brews, but it doesn’t fit in.

Bottle @ Loppen. Golden coloured with a medium sized head. Malty with notes of metal, bread, hay and has a quite heavy flavour and aroma of diacetyl.

Fredagsbaren på Biologi, Aarhus, DK Bottled Bitterness is good but somehow it is not balanced to sweetness and especially alcohol

330ml bottle. Orange golden body with a disappearing white head. Aroma is sweet malt, caramel and a bit fruity. Flavor is sweet and relatively strong malty, strong caramel and a decent hop level. Medium body and a bit perfumed hop aroma in the finish.
