madsberg (4438), Bangalore, India Dec 11, 2005 Bottled: Light amber coloured. Clear. Beige dense head. A typical refsvindinge brew. Sweets and chocolate in the aroma. Is light spiced. Flavour of caramel fruity, malt and light citrus. A touch of sourness is detectable. Is dry and grapish in the end with a light spice touch. yespr (8544), Copenhagen O, Denmark Nov 18, 2007 33 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden orange with a diminished off-white head. Aroma is slight metallica, breadish, mouldy, medium sweet and with a minor spice note. Flavour is medium sweet with a mild caramel malt note blending in with a solid bitterness leading into the finish with a mild metallic note and a mild spice edge. Nice. I have this strange feeling that this brew is quite similar to ale 16. PetetheMeat (502), Hove, Denmark Dec 7, 2004 Copper coloured, very short white head. Low carbonation. Malty (earthy aroma). Mild flavour with more malts and some underlying sourness. Smoke. The sourness is disturbing (a bad bottle?) but otherwise good though not extraordinary (had expected more). fiulijn (6180), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy May 6, 2004 Amber color. Aroma of caramel, buckwheat, candi sugar, dark chocolate. Quite warming malt, caramel, chocolate taste, but with a light metallic touch, light oxydation. Would be better if a bit sweeter. LoveCaissa (873), Copenhagen, Denmark Dec 23, 2003 Pretty amber colour but little head. Aroma and flavour is smooth and lightly sweet (toffee). The finish is very pleasantly bitter but it "dies" too quickly. Pleasant enough, but I expect more from John Rasmussen.
