PetetheMeat (502), Hove, Denmark Feb 19, 2004 The traditionally small Refsvindinge head and low carbonation, white head. Colour variating from clear pale yellow to unclear yellow depending on the individual bottling. As in nonchill filtered whisky a sign of old style quality!? Traces of yeast in the nose. Slightly hopped flavour with almost no bitterness. On occasion a bit metallic. Thin palate. Overall a well balanced low-alholic pale hvidtøl. A better choice on a hot summerday than most ice-beer and the like. Be prepared for 'Monday bottlings' with strange sediments. Will occasionally turn sour. None the less very good considering its a low alcoholic beer. Hansen (1871), Randers, Denmark Jun 10, 2004 Quite good for a low alcohol beer. Dark yellow, low, but lasting head. Some soup /salt in the flavor. Mads Langtved (2246), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Jan 13, 2003 I agree that this is very intidy. I’ve heard that the master brewer at Refsvindinge sometimes really has some bad days where he fucks everything up. This beer is a living proof of that! I can imagine how much dirt there is in this beer. The taste is a little more bitter than the dark "hvidtøl". There is no head and the beer looks like a classic cloudy German wheat. The taste is acidic and metallic. If the veterinary authorities would scrutinize this beer they would find the bug that was in Bob Marley’s hair. In spite of the doubtful purity of this beer it is quite unusual and quite interesting on accout of the beer being the only amber coloured Danish "hvidtøl". The Refsvindinge brewery has done it again! All the beers are a funny and different surprise every time you consume them. Maria (4981), Thisted, Denmark Mar 1, 2008 Light golden with an OK head. The aroma is sweetish with notes of sweet corn, malt and caramel. The flavour is smooth, mellow and mild with a light sweetness, notes of grain that just has been harvested, sweet corn (good quality), malt and a very, very light bitterness. It’s very easy to drink, and it’s a pleasant and nice lys hvidtøl! omhper (11033), Stockholm, Sweden Jun 13, 2002 Golden coloured. Fruity aroma. A bit smokey. Light body, bitter finish. Good for a low alcohol beer, but untidy is a good description.
