A black beer with a light brown fast disappearing head. The aroma is very sweet with a slight roasted note. The flavor is of a nicely sweet hvidtøl - probably the bedst danish hvidtøl

(Bottle 33 cl) My first attempt with this beer ended disastrous. It exploded in my beer closet while I was away holidaying, soaking the wall of my downstairs neighbour. Well, he was Australian and took no offence when I explained that the brown, sticky fluid was just beer. Wall had to be painted though
Dark brown with a tan head and a heavy carbonation. Weird, acidic off-flavours making this one taste a bit like a mushroom-stew boiled in gueuze. It’s really hit or miss with Refsvindinge, their batches differ so much in quality but they seem to bottle just about everything. 051200

33 cL bottle, comes as Refsvindinge Juleøl Mørk Hvidtøl. Pours dark and dense brown with a dense, slowly collapsing and chocolate brown head. Sweet brown suagr and notes of wet hay. Solid raisin notes following. Flavour is sweet and with mild raisin notes. Quite more fruity than malty flavour. Ends with a light sugarish feel and more sweet fruit.

Bottle. Very dark brown colour. Semi-stable brown head. Sweet brown sugar aroma and flavour. Sweet dark bread flavour. Quite sweet, but not sickly. A nice hvidtøl.

Pitch black with a creamy, nougat head. the aroma has notes of roasted malt, sweetness, dark chocolate and some licorice - yummi!! The flavour has a pleasant sweetness, lots of slightly bitter, dark chocolate, licorice, rye bread and a slightly citrussy finish. It’s an incredibly nice hvidtøl, a style I enjoy from time to time, but this is beyond all doubt the best I ever tasted!!
