Rune (1812), Tromsø, Norway Oct 7, 2008 330ml bottle bought at Gl. Strand Øl & Vin in Copenhagen. Beige head resting on top of a devil-black body. Dark malty to the nose. Roasted grain in flavour added by sweet toffee and a touch of salt. Soft in the mouth. Rounded stout on an average level (hotel room, Hotel Danmark, 20.09.2008). Fin (2357), Merton, Oxfordshire, England Sep 28, 2008 Had this in Ris-Ras Aarhus 16-09-08 Pours black in colour with brown around the edges. Taste is of dark chocolate. This is a smooth well rounded stout, simple, really pleasant, not too bitter or challenging. Has some med’ carbonation a touch of sourness and woodiness on the nose that is clearly not evident in the mouth. TaxiDriver (547), Stadland, Germany Sep 14, 2008 Bottle. The nice smell of chocolate and roasted malt, coffee with cream, light sweet and sweat - overall a very nice smell! A medium sized creamy light brown head and a black body. Moderate bitter taste for a sweet stout with a average duration. The body is medium, dry and creamy with a soft carbonation. A very nice one! Geuzelambix (72), København, Denmark Sep 7, 2008 A very pleasant stout. Both the aroma and the taste is mild but still clearly "stout-like" - a good stout for the ladies and all of us, who like them... diabel (1210), Aarschot, Belgium Aug 14, 2008 Bottle, thanks to Jeppe for bringing this over to Belgium Deep black body with a rocky to creamy head. Off-white, lightly brownish head. Spare lace. Aroma of strong malts, molasses, some hops and honey. Quite complex aroma, mostly on the malts, bbut quite a lot of extras as well. Quite weak flavour which is moderately bitter and lightly sweet. Not that much carbonation. Lacks complexity and some balance because it is a bit watery and even more not enough flavours are present to get a balance.
