bierkoning (5134), La Tropica, Netherlands Nov 19, 2008 Bottle from Yespr, thanks. Pale golden color. Dusty vinous aroma and flavor. Is this the smoke??? Cardboard. Seems deteriorated. Plastis, dust and chicken food in the aftertaste. harrisoni (5609), Ashford, Kent, England Sep 21, 2008 Bottle from Fotex, Copenhagen. So Jacob Lovilund’s favourite beer? Amber, thin off white head. Smoke hits you right off. Yes, some toffee in the body in the middle. It’s alright, like a smokey bitter. Fine. Miksu (1478), Jyväskylä, Finland Aug 14, 2008 0.5 l bottle at SOPP 2008, Helsinki. Copper color with small head. Smokey, earthy, peaty and tarry aroma. Malty flavor with earthy smoke, low bitterness, tar, toffee and some fruitiness. Needs more hops for a balance. Svesse (1921), Hässelby, Sweden Aug 3, 2008 (Bottle, Ölbaren, Copenhagen, 25 July) Dark amber colour with no head. Smokey, malty nose with hints of dried apricots. Malty, smokey taste with notes of apricots and dark fruit, beechwood smoke and tar. Refreshing and easy to drink, rather thin body. Very interesting beer, most smoked beer tend to be kind of heavy to drink, but definitely not this one. Nice one. mirjukka (483), LOHJA, Finland Jul 31, 2008 bottle sample 0,2l 5€ at SOPP Helsinki 2008
