[thank you, faroeviking]
Pours piss-yellow with a small, frothy, white head. Araom is citric, some sweet brewing cereal. Light mouthfeel, a bit thin. Flavour is soft, light citric hops and a good malty base. Fair pils. plovmand (525), Helsinge, Denmark Aug 26, 2008 Can from faroeviking. Clear yellow colour with a medium white head. Pleasant malty aroma with some hops. Flavour is quite bitter with a good malt base. Not bad. Papsoe (9999), Frederiksberg, Denmark Aug 18, 2006 (Can 50 cl) Pale, pilsener golden with a fairly handsome, white head of good retention. Malty nose. Medium body with sweet, malty accents and a very subdued bitterness. Drinkable indeed. 130806 Panzerfaust (377), Santiago, Chile Jul 19, 2006 Can, 500 ml.
Pours a bright and sparkling yellow, almost gold color. Full of bubbles with a big white fluffy head, medium lasting. Lacing is small.
Aroma is of a typical German Pilsener for export. Reasonably balanced, with a malty background that gives notes of bread and grains. The faint hops provide mild herbal and grassy touches and a soft citrusy hint. Some metallic notes from the can are also present, sadly.
Light sweet initial flavor. It develops slowly into a more bittersweet classic pilsener taste. Grainy but with some support from shy german hops.
Far from outstanding beer but it has some crispness. Light body, fizzy carbonation and slightly astringent finish with traces of straw. Decent aftertaste. I think I overrate this a little after the god-awful chinese lagers I drank some days ago, but this tastes almost the same as Mecklenburger Pils. Ungstrup (11075), Frederiksberg, Denmark May 7, 2007 Can. A light yellow beer with a thin off-white head. The aroma is sweet malty combined with notes of straw, and so is the flavor, leading to a bitter end. But the body is thin.
