In the 0.5L bottle from the Huber Haus. Pours a dark amber with an off-white head. The aroma has some caramel toffee and bread-like scents. Taste is a solid medium maltiness with sweet caramel notes. Good, but not great. Cool label on the bottle though.

Bottled. An amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet with notes of malt and caramel as well as light notes of metal. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, and pumpernickle bread as well as lighter notes of cinnamon, leading to a dry finish. Thanks Papsoe for sharing.

pretty lousy and weak head, brown ruby body, aroma is really nice malt caramel note and flowers. very pleasant, taste - mmmmmmm goes in very smoothly, very bready and grainy, strong and heavy, bit oily, strong alcohol feeling (probably because its heavyness supposrts the content, that actually is not very much for a bock), warms up in the winter - that’s for sure

A Mes rate. Bottle at Pigs Ear. Light amber brown with a good off white head and really well conditioned. Smells very much like rye bread from Belgo and I REALLY like that. Superb TCP notes and some equally excellent creamy malt that balances it out really well. The flavour is almost identical but that is far from being a problem. An excellent clean and refreshing finish with a glorious balance of sweet malt and assertive grassy hops. Damn good stuff.

Bottle at Pig’s Ear Festival 2008, London
Beautiful dark amber and red color, creamy head. The aroma is not very strong, but very nice: caramel and cereals, the bocks that I like. Good body strength and good caramel flavor, with the required sweetness, candi sugar too; but I find here a rather unpleasant (even if very light) vegetables touch. Good bitterness, with an edge of roasted nuts in the end.

500ml bottle at Pigs Ear 2008. Attractive chestnut colour with thin beige head. Bready fruity aroma. This is pretty good. Nice fruits, good hop on the finish. Some candy sugar sweetish dark fruits. Superb actually. God thats impressive. Doesnt drink like a lager at all. Carbonation is a bit harsh, but it can soften.

Bottle. Copper brown with beige head. Aromas are toffee and weatabix malts with dark syrup and herbal notes. Flavours are sweet, earthy, light roast malts. Raisins and bready yeast. Alcohol is not too evident. Rich and tasty and the reinder is a little sweety pie.

Clear deep amber with tiny off white head. Sweet aroma with caramel and malty notes. Sweet flavor with toasted malt, caramel and a mild bitter end.
