Cloudy, brackish with an enormous head. Acidic flowery nose. Sharp smoky taste with a dry and bitter finish. Worth seeking out.

Unearthly pour. Whipped head on pinkish orange with saturnine rings, settling into an apricot haze. Wisps of clinging lace. Nose baked beans, dab of vinegar, herbs, stone fruit, plummy booze, dried apricot, polished spruce. Piney hops more apparent with honey as it warms..gingery hints also. Outspoken abv but not offputting. Jammy yeast and hops. A grower, but alcohol sodden. Mouth warm with alcohol but pretty nondescript. Plenty of saazy conifer, savoury hop, yeast , bitterness. Well-hopped, unsticky, earthy Tripel but lacking something at 9%. Murky.

Bottle. A hazy, golden-orange beer with lots of micro-floaties, and topped by an off-white head. Lacings. Slightly fish-like on the nose, with pale malt, grains, fruit, citrus and some spices and hops. Citrusy, herbal and fruity flavor with a good bitterness. Full-bodied, dry mouthfeel. Bitter finish with citrus. A quite nice beer, but the initial aroma was strange and surprising. (080829)

bottle, thanks to bu11zeye, good clear golden pour, 1/4’’ foam head, sweet fruit aroma, good mellow flavors of malt, fruit and spices
