Bottle: Deep golden coloured with a small and stable white head; complex sweet nose: toasted malt, a bit vinous, traces of alcohol, distinctive bitterness; robust sweet-bitter flavour, medium to full bodied; rather faint sweet-bitter finish. Well rounded Bock, very well quaffable.........

(bottle) Clear, deep golden to light-amber colour with a big, slightly off-white foamy head. Aromatic, sweet toast-malty nose, bready and honey-ish with delicate herbal hops. Sweet flavour, full bodied with a smooth carbonation. Chewy, toast-malty taste with delicate notes of honey and caramel; early arriving but non-offending alcohol presence; sweet and strong malty finish with light notes of bittering hops. Fat, pale Doppelbock, but also pretty quaffable.
