502Flavors (219), Kentucky, USA Jul 12, 2008 12 oz. bottle into pint glass. Gold pour with good white head - bit eerily similar to a Budweiser, coors, etc. Just enough hops on the aroma to not smell like a pale lager. Flavor is similar to a macro pale lager - corn, a very trace amount of hops, and water. Medium to light body with active carbonation - light brew. Overall: boring, but pretty refreshing and sessionable.
DrDavid (153), , Vermont, USA Aug 25, 2008 (Bottle). Sweet malty aroma with a touch of hops. Pale golden in color with a white bubbly head. Exceptionally clean flavor profile, with mild fruit and breadiness. Very clean finish. Dacrza (154), Great Meadows, New Jersey, USA Aug 25, 2008 A bubbly yellow gold body supports a pure white fluffy head in an Ayinger altbier glass... a bit of hops and a bit of wheat to aid the smoothness with little complexity, as per the style-- this is one SUMMER SLAMMING beer! Slightly creamy, soft, medium-bodied offering--I like its presenceand the subsequent effortless drinkability... strong metallic malts, almost pilsneresque... slight fruitiness, but not overt... a bit bready too... as Michael Jackson calls this a "delicate" style, I too find little difference between this and others, whether it be Gaffel or Saranac... but this isn’t a bad thing, knowing the style’s limitations and the pleasant drinking rewards... tagz (307), USA Aug 16, 2008 draft. surprised at the low ratings. i thought this was an extremely tasty kolsh. pours hazy gold. not much in the aroma department, but the taste brings in sweet bread, grass, and light malt. very clean and crisp but still packing solid flavors. palate was good as well - moderate carbonation, dry finish. BMan1113VR (779), Los Angeles (and Dallas, TX), California, USA Aug 15, 2008 Pours with a small, fizzy, white head that goes quick. Yellow body. Aroma of corn, and some fruits. Taste is sweet, light corn and even lighter fruit. Fizzy mouthfeel. JCastner (21), New York, USA Aug 8, 2008 Pours a light yellow with little to no head at NYC’s Loreley. Pale malt with some Hellertauer hops present, not much else. A lawnmower beer for those without taste buds, this beer is a neatly packaged brand of bland. Not worth the order.
