Head was white and dissipated quickly. Aroma and flavor were of light cereal grain with just a touch of citrus. Dry and crisp with a clean finish. Not bad. glennmastrange (865), hobe sound, Florida, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 30, 2007 Bottle. Very light aromas of grain, herbs and vegetable. Color is clear yellow with a fizzy white head with fair lacing and is mostly diminising. Taste is moderately acidic and lightly acetic to start and finishes the same with a little bitter mixed in. Palate is light, between dry and watery and has a lively caronation. A very good drinking beer to have with a heavy german dinner. maeib (4766), Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 23, 2007 Nose of yeast, sawdust, soap, and a hint of sulpher. Pours a sparkling pale straw. The fully lasting creamy tight white head leaves good lace. The brew is heavily acidic but maintains a good balance, slightly on the sweet side. Sharper than a pilsener. The light body is creamy and lively. A perfect beer to come home to after a long ninety seven degree day at work. JMFG (1514), Florida, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 6, 2007 Bottle... Clear yellow ale with a mid-sized, wispy, white head. Good retention. Perfumey nose with light notes of toffee, spent pale malt mash and butter. Well-balanced flavor with a crisp hop kick and flashes of crushed grain and English toffee. Medium-bodied and very lightly creamy with tingly carbonation. Crisp, clean, dry finish. One of the only Kölsches I remember drinking that’s brewed "dead-on" to style. Nice!
