Clear golden color, small white head. Strong aroma of iron, underlying fruity notes. Fizzy, slightly harsh malty flavor. Hard metallic and watery mouthfeel. Apple-fruity notes in the aftertaste. Average example of Kölsch-style, style which is clearly overrated in RB. PilsnerPeter (2667), Flushing, New York, USA

The aroma has some apple-like fruit notes and some sweet crystal malt. It has a creamy & fluffy texture. There is a light vanilla like sweetness, tons of pale malt flavors, some wood & a subtle apple fruityness. Finish is very crisp, and has a mild German hop bite. A solid example of the style. A traditionally enjoyable and sessionable brew. TheBeerBaron (219), Florida, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 14/20 | Mar 20, 2007 Bottle. Clear light yellow. Active frothy white head and lots of carbonation. Hint of pine and wheat aroma but nothing very noticeable. Clean and refreshing on the palate like a spring water. Tastewise its pleasant and light, flavourful and not watery. A vast improvement over mass American lagers for those who like light beer. Maverick34 (716), New York, USA

Pale golden ale, small white head, that went fast, slow carbonation.
Honeyish aroma, sweet and malty, buiscuity, some small grassy hop.
Sweet and malty at the start, then dries out real fast ,leaving a small bitter after taste.
Lager like consistency on the palate, but very dry and a fast finish.
A beer for hot weather nightly session.
Simple stuff but drinkable. theisti (1689), Leawood, Kansas, USA

Hey,it was the closest thing to Kölsch glass that I had. This is a great Kölsch. It pours clear yellow, with a nice white head that sticks around. Aroma is faint, but there is grass and other earthy notes in it. Touch of sweet maltiness at the start, then dries out to a slight bitter finish. I like my Kölsch cold, quick and drinkable - this one hits it on every front. Not any depth to it, but hey this isn’t the style for it. Did I just use "hey" twice in a review? To the literalists, I suppose it was three including the question.
