Pours from the bottle to a nice golden yellow, with some carbonation, and a little white head that floats on top, but no lacing. Although this looks like a BMC pour, it actually has an aroma of faint nuts and honey, and a tasty flavor that ends with a smooth finish. This was not a great beer, but actually was not too bad, and it would make a good session beer.

i’ve never been to Koln, so havent ever truly had a fresh kolsch. this one was on tap at popeys in tokyo. my beer rate friends jumped on it like a bum on a ham sandwich. i myself was really looking for the japanese beers. so i got a few tastes off their. clear golden with a white typical head. flavors of honey crisp and refreshing. some biscuit tendancies. good and easy to drink.

This beer was good, but very typical of the style. Golden yellow, well carbonated, white head, slightly dry and bready, some hop and spice in the finish, pretty light on the palate (a bit watery). Good, but not great and didn’t really have anything memorable to set it apart from other Kolsch beers. 16 oz draught; $4.75 at Dilly Deli.

Bottle, brought back from Germany. Poured a light golden with a thick white foamy head. Aroma was minimal, and slightly sweet. An ample malt body with very little hops. A clean finish on this smooth malty brew.

(06.03.06) On tap at Firkin, Libertyville, IL. Poured clear golden yellow with small white head. No discernable carbonation. Faint hop aroma. Light-to-medium bodied beer that starts dry with malt/corn flavor. Finished dry with light malt fade and some bitterness. Good drinkable beer.

what a waste of time to try and describe this. same, light, watery taste as them all. this may have been the one i drank at the fake strip club with the chinese midget with the broken arm.

Strong malt taste, medium dry finish, drinks well - would’ve been very good if it hadn’t been so heavily carbonated.

Pristine, clear pour with medium head has a nose of bready malt and a nice dry spice to it. Palate is decidedly thin with heavy carbonation. Flavor has a bit of hop spice to it, but is characterized mostly by its dry finish. Succesfully representative of the style, Reissdorf is easy to enjoy in quality as well as excess.
