This is an excellent beer. By far my favorite beer i had in Germany. Besides koelsch that was freshly brewed at pubs where you could only get that beer at that pub It’s far better then its rival beer which is Alt beer from Dusseldorf. This beer has outstanding flaver. It has the look of a light beer but a strong and filling taste. Good head and gold in color.

A golden colored beer with white head. A light, earthy beer with a slighly bitter finish

Golden pour with a decent head, I think I bought it when I was thinking of Cologne, Germany. In retrospect, I probably shouldn’t have bought this beer, it doesn’t represent the best of what this kind of beer can be.

Pours a big rich white head, but it thins to nothing. Malty nose. Sharp on the tongue, then a clean finish. Bitter and crisp. Little hop character. Maltiness lingers throughout. Gotta love those Germans. A good quaff.

Draught (GBBF): Clear light gold in colour. Nice malt aroma. Sweet clean malts, with very subdued fruits. Great balanced beer. Medium bodied, quite nice.

Draught @ GBBF 2005: Golden coloured. Clear. White head. Fresh malty and sweet aroma. Flavour is fruity, light malty and sweet. Has a clean and fresh citric end. Very good kölsch. Bottled. Yellow coloured. Clear. Sweet, fruity and with light yeast notes in the aroma. Flaovur is dry and herbal with a light fruitsweetness. Medium bodied. Light dry sweetness in the end. Refreshing and easy to drink. (7-3-7-3-14)

rerate from gravity-keg. Citric and grassy hop aroma. Pale golden, lowish blanket head. Lightbodied toasted strawlike malt base, fruity, citric notes on top, dry and light herbal finish. Lightbodied fitting the style. Light malted aftertaste. Quite easy drinkable and refreshing.
