Jahills (151), Cambridge (Hobart), Australia Apr 15, 2004 Miles past the pils, quick and easy to stick away, not much more than an inoffensive line and length lager. I can only just taste the fruity character advertised, but im not sure what fruit it is.
DuffMan (2194), Calgary, Alberta, Canada Aug 7, 2007 On tap at the Fortune of War bar in Sydney. Deep dark golden with a dense foamy white head. These people obviously keep their lines clean, as the aroma was slightly floral and quite malty. Crisp palate, very refreshing with pale malts giving way to a pleasant gentle fruity hoppiness. An excellent draught. beerledgend (853), Meadowbank Auckland, New Zealand Jul 17, 2007 On Tap at the Palce Coogee.
dark orange in colour with small white head, malty aroma. hop syrup flavour. Sour taste. Yet another tourturesses ozzie beer. Sledge Jr (2730), Omaha, Nebraska, USA Nov 25, 2006 On tap at the Fortune of War Bar. Identical to Carlton’s Draught, but maybe a bit more creamy. The taste is pretty much the same. Average low flavor lager. Mild bitterness and mild malt sweetness. Nicko (126), Sydney, Australia Nov 6, 2006 On tap at the Garry Owen, after a walk from Pyrmont to Rozelle. Slightly fruity slightly bitter, refreshing but what isn’t when ice cold. I think it might have been in the pipes a while which added to the texture, and detracted from the aroma. strings (327), Sydney, Australia Oct 23, 2006 On tap at Royal Exchange Marrickville. Too fizzy. Quite full tasting, but I’m not really so sure of what. Bark perhaps? Ashtrays come to mind also. Anyway, still better than a few other australian lagers.
